What is the cost to get certified for diving in open water?
I'm going to dive for my first time and I'm going to the Great Barrier Reef. How much does it cost to get PADI certified? How long does it take? Do I have to buy the equipment Training? And diving on the reef I can wear a suit Neoprene only reaches the knees and elbows? Thanks
About certification costs in the Chicago area: Pool class = $ 200 to $ 400 Based at night during the week a group class or private lessons. Certification Dives = $ 200 (the group) to $ 400 (private) advice on entry fees, the tank is full, food, etc. Gear for the L = need to buy a mask, fins, boots and snorkel for the class. These can cost $ 300 to $ 800 (or more) depending on what you want. The pool group classes during the week in the classroom has five nights a week. There is also a class on Saturday and Sun, which takes about 10 hours each day. Private lessons are based on your schedule with the instructor. For certification dives, there will be two days. In general, we do on Saturday and Sunday. Whether or not you Need a wetsuit is totally a personal choice. "I use my fullsuit 3 mm (with arms and legs throughout) of the water temperature to 85F.
